FIRE BAN STATUS
LEVEL 1
Fires must be under constant supervision by an adult. Enclosed Fire pits or barbecues must be covered with a metal screen having openings no greater than ½” and must cover the entire opening. Logs or other fuel source must be fully contained within the enclosure.
Fire bans include any open fires, controlled burns and fireworks. Anyone who spots a wildfire can call 1-800-667-9660, dial 9-1-1 or contact their closest SPSA Forest Protection Area office. Saskatchewan Fire Ban Map is available at: http://environment.gov.sk.ca/firefiles/MunicipalFireBans.pdf
Under no circumstances should any controlled burns be conducted without approval from Fire Chief, Gene Perrault. Contact him at 306-661-8890
