Open from May 1st to September 15th, McLaren Lake Regional
Park has long served as a quiet get-away and as a place where local community organizations could hold events.
The lake itself is approximatly 2 km long and 0.5 km wide, enough room for a wide range of
boating activities and has also been stocked with 7500 rainbow trout over the past 3 years. Several wind powered
aeration systems have been installed to oxygenate the lake over the winter months.

McLaren Lake Regional Park is located in southwest Saskatchewan, near the villages of
Richmound and Golden Prairie, SK and Schuler, AB.
Directions from Richmound: Follow HWY 371 8 kms west, take the curve and then continue south for 18 kms.
Directions from Medicine Hat: Follow HWY 41 northeast for approximately 50 Km to the village of Schuler, AB.
Continue east on gravel for 15.2 km until you reach grid road 635 in Saskatchewan. Turn south and follow grid road 635
for approx 5 km to the park gate. |

Services available to day-trippers and campers include
electrical and non-electrical sites with fire pits, fully serviced washrooms with showers and flush toilets,
a playground with modern equipment, concession, camp kitchen, firewood and ice, boat launch and dock, beach,
ball diamond, horseshoe pits and cabin trailer sewage disposal.

McLaren Lake hosts an annual Slow-Pitch Tournament on the third weekend
in July. The outdoor party continues into the evening with live entertainment and beer gardens.
